Add / Edit Client

When you select Add New Client this screen is displayed, where you can enter the client’s information.  Scroll up and down to view all the fields.



Client Name is the name of the entity that you are providing a financial service for.  It is mandatory that this field is filled in.

Reporting Name is the name that will be used for reports.  It is mandatory that this field is filled in.

Client Type indicates the number of people involved in this Client and what their relationship is.  This is a choice field.  The options are:
  • Individual is for a Client that is made up of a single person.
  • Couple is for a Client that is made up of more that one person, that are not a trust or a company.
  • Trust/Company is for a Client that is an established trust or company.
Status indicates if this is currently a paying client.  This is a choice field.  The options are:
  • Active for clients that you are proving a service for.
  • Inactive for obsolete clients.
  • Prospect for an entity that you are prospecting.

PAN Number of the Client. This is only required in the case of a Trust or Company. All other PAN numbers can be entered when setting each contact under the client.

Holding Currency is the currency that the Client’s funds are being managed in. This will typically be set to Indian Rupee. 

Reporting Currency is the currency that you report the Client’s funds in.  This is also an option field.  The options are the same as Holding Currency. In most cases this will be set to Indian Rupee, however, if the client is living outside of India then you might like to report in the currency when the client is currently residing, Eg. in US Dollars.

Residency Status of the client. The options are:
  • NRI.
  • Indian Resident.
  • Other.
Notes are personal notes made by you about this client.

Once you have entered this information, click the Create button at the bottom of the screen to continue.  To exit this screen, without saving the information, click the Cancel button at the bottom of the screen.
