Add Journal

This is the screen where a new journal entry is written up.





Subject is a title for this journal, indicating the content.

Notes is the actual journal entry.

Link to Portfolio this is a choice field.  Any portfolios that are related to this Client are listed.  You can then either select Do not link Journal to Portfolio or you can select a specific portfolio to link this journal to.  When a journal is linked to a portfolio, the journal subject is shown at the top of the Portfolio Reviews task bar area, below the title Portfolio Journals.

Note:  Once you have completed the task outlined in this journal you will want to stop the journal from being shown in Portfolio Journals.  To do this, whilst in the task bar, click the journal you want removed.  The Client Journal Update screen is shown.  At the Link to Portfolio field, select Do not link Journal to Portfolio.  Click Save to save the changes made.

Add Flag is a tick box which sets a flag so that this journal is shown in the task bar to remind you about this task.  To view all the journals that have had a flag added to them, maximize Client Journals in the task bar.

Note:  Once you have completed the task outlined in this journal you will want to stop the journal from being shown in the task bar.  To do this, whilst in the task Bar, click the journal you want removed.  The Client Journal Update screen is shown.  At the Add Flag field, remove the tick.  Click Save to save the changes made.

Add Reminder is a tick box which sets a date activated flag so that this journal is shown in the task bar to remind you about this task.  This flag  is activated by the Reminder Date.  To view all the journals that have had a reminder added to them, maximize Client Journal Reminders in the task bar.

Note:  Once you have completed the task outlined in this journal you will want to stop the journal from being shown in the task bar.  To do this, whilst in the task bar, click the journal you want removed.  The Client Journal Update screen is shown.  At the Add Reminder field, remove the tick.  Click Save to save the changes made.

Reminder Date is only available if the Add Reminder field has been ticked.  Enter the date that this journal must start be shown in the task bar.

Once you have entered this information, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to continue.  To exit this screen, without saving the information, click the Cancel button at the bottom of the screen.
