The Investment section is the key section of the Portfolio module.  All a client’s investment transactions take place in this section.

When you click on View the investment screen is displayed.  The investment details can be viewed or changed.

The first part of this screen shows the name of the portfolio that was selected.  On the right is the Edit option to edit the portfolio information.

To view more information about this portfolio, click the right arrow next to the portfolio name.  This will display a screen with this portfolio information.  This is a view only screen.  To close this screen, click the down arrow next to the portfolio name.

To change any of this information, click Edit.  The Edit Portfolio screen is displayed.  This option invokes the same screen that you used to create a new portfolio.

The second part of this screen shows the Investments.  To add new investment funds, select Add Investment..

Next to the Add Investment option is a selection box which allows you to specify which investments to list for this portfolio.  The options are:  Show Positive Valuation or Show All.

Next to this box is a tick box to Include Pending.  If this box has a tick, investments that have a pending transaction are shown with the transaction completed.

The investment funds are listed alphabetically.  As you move your mouse pointer over the investment names, they are highlighted.  To edit an investment, click the investment name.  This opens a box which shows the basic investment details.  In this box is an option to View the transactions for this investment.
